Owner / Operator

Ben Feigenbaum has owned and operated The TFA Group for over thirty years. He is a second- generation disability income insurance expert with unique skills and experience. Ben has published articles, instructed CE, LUTCF, and provides ongoing educational programs. He was past Ways and Means Committee Chair for the NEOHUA and currently serves on leadership committees for multiple brokerage agencies. Ben regularly speaks to groups as a recognized disability income insurance veteran and continuously educates young brokers.

Ben works with advisors throughout the United States and has developed unique relationships with accountants, property casualty agencies, health/life insurance professionals and financial planners. 

Ben was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio and played ice hockey in the state high school championship. He enjoys golf, boating, his wife Shelly and their new grandchild Lola.


Office Manager

Kathy Mooney Sidaway started her insurance career in 2000, and has continuously managed and operated The TFA Group disability income and long-rerm care brokerage services. Her skills at researching and preparing the right insurance solution, and aggressive underwriting, assures your important clients will receive the best offer from our carriers. Kathy lives with her husband Don and their many dogs, in Akron, Ohio. She enjoys travelling, giving back to her community, and her grandchildren!

Kathy attended The University of Akron with a B.A. in Technical Education. She is the current board chair, and a founding member of the Bath, Ohio Community Fund which is a permanent endowment dedicated to strengthening her local township. This fund preserves local history, enhances the arts, and cultural landscape while serving local youth through education and recreation.


Sales Representative

Steve Goodman started his career as an independent disability income, and long-term care insurance expert, in 2006.  Steve is experienced working with the closely held business, physician, and high-income wage earners.  His product knowledge and experience helps him customize every quote for your important disability income and long-term care insurance clients.

Steve grew up in Orange Village, Ohio and attended Kansas State on a tennis scholarship.  After graduation he joined The Feigenbaum Agency and enjoys working with advisors.  Steve is married to Lauren, a school teacher in Shaker Heights.  They have two children and a dog that keeps them busy.  When he is not working, Steve enjoys time with his family, travel, tennis and golf.
